Geothermal Heating & Cooling Systems
Geothermal HVAC systems use the warmth of the earth to both heat and cool your home. Because the ground temperature in Maryland remains a constant 55° year round, it provides an optimal temperature for geothermal efficiency. In the summer, the ground is cooler than the air so the system draws cooling energy from the earth and transfers it to your HVAC system. In the winter the ground is warmer than the air so the system draws warm energy from the earth and transfers it to your HVAC system. There are many benefits of using a geothermal system, including:

The light is then converted into heat energy, which is used to provide either hot water for household use or heat for the home. Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems
(PV) systems use solar panels or modules to absorb sunlight that is converted directly into electricity. People use solar PV systems because of the environmental benefits as well as the financial return. Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs)
RECs also known as Green Tags, Renewable Electricity Certificates, or Tradable Renewable Certificates—measure the amount of clean energy that a generator has produced from a renewable source, such as wind or solar, and transferred to the power grid. The generator assigns a unique “certificate,” or number, to each megawatt-hour (1,000 kilowatt-hours) of energy produced.
RECs help you quantify the environmental advantage of clean energy generation—the emissions avoided by producing energy from a clean energy source instead of from a standard fuel source like coal, oil, or gas. If you produce excess energy with your solar or wind turbine system, you can earn RECs, which can be paid to you for your efforts to support clean energy.
